The Cyber Crime Cell of the Pune police arrested the Shiv Sena IT cell chief for allgedly uploading a doctored image of Deputy Chief Minister and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar, and posting defamatory text about him on the social networking website, Facebook.

The accused, Amit Chandrakant Jadhav (27), is a resident of Santa Cruz in Mumbai. Police said that a doctored image of the deputy chief minister was found posted on the wall of Jadhav’s profile on Facebook.
Jadhav has told the police that Pawar had made some objectionable statements against Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray. Angered over this, he put defamatory contents about Pawar on Facebook.
