JAIPUR: The cyber criminals are at it again. First it was the incident of blasphemous pictures posted on Facebook that caused communal tension in southern Rajasthan. Now it is the principal of Sawai Man Singh Medical College, Dr Subhash Nepalia, who has become the victim of cyber criminals operating from Nigeria.
Nepalia, who is currently in Europe received a call from one of his close friends and a colleague asking for his account number. Nepalia was shocked when his colleague told him of receiving a mail from his email id seeking immediate financial help.
"Dr Nepalia immediately checked his email id and found that his password had been changed. He called a few of his friends on his email contact list to inquire about the mail. Most of them had received message from his email id seeking for help," said Deepak Khandelwal, SHO, Moti Doongri police station.
