Cyber crime cell unmasked mailer

Times of India

A team of crime branch officials led by DCP Himanshu Shukla and ACP Mayur Chavda was set on the task. "The breakthrough came when cyber cell officers inspectors K P Patel and K K Patel and sub-inspector B P Roziya tracked the email down to a server in Russia and soon found it to be a decoy," he said.
The team soon found that the internet protocol (IP) address was masked by a specialized software. Using cyber crime tools and their experience in solving fake IP-related cases, they tracked down the computer to Patan. The officials then hunted down the address and detained Rajkumar Yadav, a native of Uttar Pradesh, who directed them to his friend Monu Ojha.
